    • Van Aroma
Leading producer of Indonesian Natural Flavor and Fragrance ingredients
Provide Optimal Quality Indonesian Natural Essential Oils To The Global Market.
Van aroma was founded in 2006 with a mission to PROVIDE OPTIMAL QUALITY INDONESIAN NATURAL ESSENTIAL OILS TO THE GLOBAL MARKET. We setup our first facility in the city of Padang, West Sumatra. This is where the collection and standardisation of essential oils initially took place. At the time of our genesis, Patchouli Oil and Nutmeg Oil were the only two products we dealt with. Our progressive planning quickly led us to expand our services to products such as Clove Oil, Vetiver Oil and several other natural extracts from Java and Sulawesi. In 2009, we added our second facility in Jakarta to keep up with the growing demand for our products. This helped us in focusing on the production of further refined products like the many different derivatives of clove oil and patchouli oil. Today we have expanded our workforce and broadened our infrastuctural capabilities to include reaction, solvent extraction and steam distillation unit

IFRA Code of Practice Notification of the 49th Amendment to the IFRA Code of Practice
IFRA Critical Effect: Dermal sensitization and systemic toxicity
IFRA fragrance material specification:

The Standard is based on long-term systemic effects and will therefore have a wider range of product type limitations as follows:

Fine fragrance: 0.02%

Eau de toilette: 0.008%

Fragrancing cream: 0.004%

Other leave on: 0.0004%

Rinse-off: 0.001%

Non skin (as defined in the introduction to the Standards): 0.02%*

Other non cosmetic products not covered above: 0.001%

*The limit of 0.02% applies to the concentration in the fragrance compound (see exposure calculation)

The limitations apply to Methyleugenol (ME) originating from all sources. Contributions from essential oils can be significant. Names of essential oils, which should also be considered in the application of the Standard, are given below. Maximum percentage of the reference material is included for use when no analytical data is available.

Fragrance material specification:

Contribution from other sources:

Contributions from essential oils (See also Annex 1)

Pimenta berry oil or leaf oil < 15%

Basil oil < 6%

Bay oil < 4%

Rose oil < 3.5%

IFRA FLAVOR REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the possible ingestion of small amounts of fragrance ingredients from their use in products in Categories 1 and 6, materials must not only comply with IFRA Standards but must also be recognized as safe as a flavoring ingredient as defined by the IOFI Code of Practice (www.iofi.org). For more details see chapter 1 of the Guidance for the use of IFRA Standards.

Use levels for FEMA GRAS flavoring substances on which the FEMA Expert Panel based its judgments that the substances are generally recognized as safe (GRAS).
The Expert Panel also publishes separate extensive reviews of scientific information on all FEMA GRAS flavoring substances and can be found at FEMA Flavor Ingredient Library
