ambrette seed oil
essential oil distilled from the seeds of the plant of the musk mallow, hibiscus abelmoschus l., malvaceae

Notes:
Distilling whole seeds produce a colorless to pale yellow essential oil that contains only small amounts of odorless palmitic acid. This oil should be allowed to age for several months to allow the initial fatty notes to subside into a rich, sweet, floral musk, wine odor. Blends well with aldehydes. tsca definition 2008: extractives and their phsically modified derivatives. hibiscus abelmoschus. malvaceae.
