Pepper (Piper Nigrum L.) used for our Extrapone® is mainly cultivated in Sri Lanka. The green berries are harvested and dried and thereby obtain their black color. Following the peppercorns are ground, extracted by ethyl acetate and filtrated. The filtrate is concentrated by distillation and the ethyl acetate is completely removed. The concentrated pepper extract is prepared in a mixture of water, glycerin and preservatives and clear filtrated after an individual ripening time. 1kg Extrapone® Black Pepper GW contains the oil soluble ingredients of approx. 0.24 kg dried black pepper.
