origanum majorana oil morocco
essential oil obtained from the herbs of the sweet marjoram, origanum majorana l., labiatae

Notes:
The plant is probably originated in the eastern Mediterranean countries and is now cultivated in central and southern Europe as well as in North Africa. The plant grown in the United States is used as a culinary herb and not for the production of essential oil. Sweet marjoram oil is a pale yellow or pale amber liquid of a warmspicy, aromatic camphoraceous and woody odor, reminiscent of nutmeg and cardamom. tsca definition 2008: extractives and their physically modified derivatives. origanum majorana, labiatae.

IFRA Code of Practice Notification of the 49th Amendment to the IFRA Code of Practice
IFRA fragrance material specification:
Linalool and natural products known to be rich in linalool, such as bois de rose, coriander or ho wood oil, should only be used when the level of peroxides is kept to the lowest practical level. It is recommended to add antioxidants at the time of production of the raw material. The addition of 0.1% BHT or alpha-tocopherol for example has shown great efficiency. The maximum peroxide level for products in use should be 20 mmol/l.
contains the following IFRA (Annex) restricted components: (non-analysis max. level reference only)
geraniol Max. Found: 0.3 % and Reason: Sensitization
Recommendation for origanum majorana oil morocco usage levels up to:
6.0000 % in the fragrance concentrate.
