      Tobacco Absolute – Burley
Adam Michael has this to say “Tobacco Absolute – Burley. The smell is warm, masculine, rich, exuding a faint caramel and tonka bean sweetness. Excellent longevity, easily detectable on my smelling strip after five days. Dry out is earthy, agrestic and just unmistakably, distinctively gorgeous, …. tobacco. Produced by solvent extracting dried tobacco leaves (Burley variety), viscous liquid and the colour is dark greenish brown to black-brown.”

      Tobacco Absolute – Oriental
Adam Michael has this to say “Tobacco Absolute – Oriental. If you smell from the bottle it’s a wow material, classically structured tobacco, strong, masculine, very distinctive, hay, woody, virginian cedarwood, cigar rich, and packing real punch. However it’s a different animal altogether on the smelling strip. The first thing I notice is how extraordinarily dry this material is. Also to my nose this aroma is reminiscent of smelling my old army kitbag – giving off a very heavy musty cotton smell. The longevity is not as impressive as the burley or virginia varieties, lasting for two days and drying out with musty hay notes and some tonka bean powdery sweetness.

      Tobacco Absolute – Virginia
Adam Michael has this to say “Tobacco Absolute – Virginia. The smell is very mature, very dry, reminds me of smelling old rope, the middle contains fleeting notes of dark chocolate cake with wet, juicy, luscious rich red heavenly cherries. The dry out is baked earth, old rope, a little woody, a little nutty and ever so slightly powdery sweet. Masterpiece material, really loving this. I can smell this material on the smelling strip for six whole days. Produced by solvent extracting drid tobacco leaves (Virginia variety), viscous liquid and the colour is dark greenish brown to black-brown.”

      Tobacco Absolute
Tobacco absolute is a very strong material, used in traces in many fragrance type to ehance sweetness, mossyness or hay notes. Often percieved as making a fragrance more masuline, slightly larger amounts can be used where a distinct tobacco note is desired. Arctander describes the material like this: “a dark brown, semi-solid mass of strong, almost repulsive odor, faintly reminiscent of cigar tobacco. … In dilution, it has a typical cigar-tobacco fragrance.” He goes on to describe some of the potential uses of tobacco absolute: “used not only in the ‘tabac’ type of modern or aldehydic perfumes, but also for ‘dry’ and ‘masculine’ effects in fantasy types, in Oriental blends, etc. These materials blend well with sandalwood, castoreum, labdanum, clary sage, vetiver, bergamot, methyl-ionones, cedarwood derivatives, etc., and they produce effects which are very hard to imitate or match (with other materials).”

      NicTab2 Tobacco Absolute
Tobacco Absolute has a wonderful leathery, smoky aroma with notes that are characteristic tobacco but with a more persistent hay-like nuance. It's worth noting that our Tobacco Absolute is dark brown and viscous. It blends well with Beeswax Absolute, Clary Sage, Clove, and Cassia. It's great for all blenders, especially those in natural perfumery and cosmetics.
