Odor: characteristic Use: Pentalyn® 830 synthetic resin is a hard, alcohol-soluble, thermoplastic resin based largely on a pentaerythritol ester of modified rosin. It is internally plasticized, but has rapid solvent release. It can be used with a variety of film formers to which it imparts and/or improves gloss, adhesion, toughness, and hardness. Its good alcohol solubility, and especially its solution stability, makes it a useful resin for flexographic inks, spirit varnishes, conventional lacquers, and specialty coatings and finishes. |
