Use: Ultrabee™ WD silicone is a dimethicone copolyol ester that combines the natural conditioning properties of USP grade white beeswax with the substantivity and surface-active benefits of dimethicone copolyol. Ultrabee WD silicone is a nonionic, water-dispersible wax ester which features a light color and low odor. Ultrabee WD silicone is easily incorporated into hair and skin care systems and may be used to impart the conditioning benefits of silicone to products without contributing to the greasiness and build-up that can be associated with silicone fluid. Ultrabee WD silicone is recommended in products including aftershave balms, mild cleansers, makeup removers, creams and lotions. It is extremely mild, and is suitable for use in products for babies and those with sensitive skin. Ultrabee WD silicone provides lubrication and conditioning properties in skin care systems, and is normally used in oil-in-water emulsions. It will contribute to emolliency, softening and conditioning and can promote gloss and rub-in. In hair care products, dimethicone copolyol esters, such as Ultrabee WD silicone, are effective additives to shampoos and conditioners that can contribute to gloss, combability, static reduction and manageability. Ultrabee WD silicone does not adversely affect foam or detergency and is compatible with many of the anionic surfactants and quaternary compounds that are normally used in hair care systems.
