| SPECTRASOLV® DMDA
Odor: characteristic Use: Spectrasolv DMDA is a multifunctional (sunscreen solvent and SPF booster) synthetically produced amide of Dimethylamine and Capric (n-Decanoic) Acid. Spectrasolv DMDA has vastly superior solvency for sunscreen actives compared to traditional esters such as C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate and Isopropyl Palmitate, and is much more polar. According to research findings in our laboratories, the increased polarity may have a beneficial impact on the photostability and so the performance of many broad-spectrum sunscreen products.
Spectrasolv DMDA also improves the freeze-thaw stability of emulsions. Its secondary amine and total nitrosamine contents conform to requirements presented in the consolidated version of European Union Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC. Recommended use level: 0.5-2.0%. |
