Life Essentials - Botanicals Odor: characteristic Use: Extrapone® Champagne GW contains pure champagne prepared in water and glycerin. The champagne used in this product is pressed near Reims in the Champagne (France). The grapes are cultivated on selected vineyards in the Champagne and harvested by hand in September/October. Then the grapes are pressed in two steps. The must is purified of solids and fermented. The single wines are combined to get the foundation of the champagne. Sugar and yeasts are added in exact defined quantities. The second fermentation takes place in bottles, whereby a sediment of yeasts and other solid components occurs. The bottles are now stored in special shelves and are shaken and turned around daily. The precipitations are concentrated at the cork, because the champagne bottles are stored head down. In this position the champagne ripens for about three years. After that the bottleneck is freezed so that the precipitations at the cork are hurled out of the bottle as ice. The champagne is prepared in a mixture of water, glycerin and preservative.
