Use: Milk thistle is an annual or biennial herbs, native to southern Europe ,North Africa and other places.The whole plant contains flavonoids and fumaric acid.The seeds contains silybin, isosilybin, dehydrogenized silybin,silydianin, silychristin, silybin polymer and cinnamic acid, myristic acid, palmitoleic acid, arachidic acid etc. The product is tasteless, odorless, soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, ethanol and methanol, insoluble in chloroform, do not dissolve in water. Milk thistle is widely used for the treatment of liver disease and cardiovascular disease.
