| Dragosan W/O P
Odor: characteristic Use: Dragosan W/O P is suitable for the manufacture of soft W/O emulsions, which exhibit a pleasant skin-feeling.
Dragosan W/O P is especially recommended for cream formulations with an oil content of 25-45 % (including the emulsifier); the emulsifier content would here be between 6 and 8 %.
Dragosan W/O P can be combined with all of the usual fats and oils, which are used for cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. Polar oils (e.g. ester oils, vegetable oils) are in general difficult to build into formulations, but, in contrast to non-polar oils (e.g. paraffin oils, paraffin waxes), offer dermatogological and cosmetic advantages. For this reason a combination of polar and non-polar oils is recommended in formulations. Such formulations exhibit a high degree of stability to heat and cold. Additives for increasing the stability are therefore unnecessary. |
