Odor: characteristic
Use: 1,1,3-Tris-(2-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)-butane (TPMB) is a high molecular weight hindered phenolic antioxidant for polyolefins, polypropylene, polyamides and styrene copolymers. TPMB is used as a stabilizer for a variety of plasticizers and hotmelt adhesives. TPMB is used primarily in polymers sensitive to thermal and oxidative degradation due to free radical and peroxide formation or degradation at high processing temperatures.
