Use: Coming from the Malabar coast, cardamom grows on a bush from the same botanical family as ginger. It is the most expensive spice in the world after saffron and vanilla. The bush is extremely sensitive to climate conditions and diseases and has a variable production, giving fruits only every two or three years. Dried seeds are either used as such in culinary applications or distilled to obtain a beautiful essence often used in masculine fragrances.
